IRTA operates in the following areas:

Rail Traffic

IRTA delivers protocol converters, which enable data transfer between interlocking and TMS (Traffic Management Systems) of various suppliers. End customers are RENFE (Spanish national rail operator) and several metro networks.

Our protocol converters can be found all over Spain in large numbers.

Electricity Distribution

IRTA connects existing RTUs with latest generation control systems, through modern communication (SCADA) networks.

IRTA is in the process of developing their own concept for a distribution RTU.

Industrial Installations

IRTA’s data extraction module has been installed with great success in power stations to calculate relevant data used for process optimisation.

Industrial Automatization

IRTA uses some of the most modern automatization and programming languages (IEC-61113).

General

IRTA has developed "device drivers" for use under MS Windows and Linux. These products are derived from an excellent knowledge of both operating systems.

IRTA has in-depth experience in the area of "Embedded Systems" on SBCs (single board computer), e.g. PC104.

IRTA has profound knowledge of data networks and transfer protocols, field busses, such as CANbus, Interbus and IEC-61850 as well as OPC technology.
